San Francisco Board of Supervisors Resolution
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors has unanimously passed a resolution urging the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) to halt the closure of the National Archives at San Francisco and the relocation of the facility’s records and artifacts to ensure that local communities continue to have direct access to evidence of their history and stories in the United States. This was proposed by Supervisor Connie Chan and co-sponsored by Supervisors Rafael Mandelman and Chyanne Chen, and passed at their July 14, 2026 board meeting.
